Recently spotted: spam baited with “Hillary Clinton’s name”:http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/security_response/weblog/2008/02/you_know_its_election_year_whe.html that leads to a Google redirect and, as Brian Krebs puts it, a “”spam-spewing zombie”:http://blog.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/02/fake_prez_campaign_video_sprea.html.”
Krebs also notes that campaigners have already been hit similarly: Ron Paul’s campaign bore the brunt in October 2007.
